2014 has been bustling with advocacy work at the pan-Canadian level. The Child Care Advocacy Association of Canada has been involved in a number of exciting initiatives in collaboration with provincial advocacy and labour organizations. Our collective goal, as part of the child care movement, is to work over the coming months to make child care a vote determining issue for all Canadians when we cast our ballots in the 2015 Federal election. #WeWillWin
The Highlight of 2014 was the #ChildCare2020 conference
The Child Care Advocacy Association of Canada was one of three conference organizers in partnership with the Childcare Resource and Research Unit and the Canadian Child Care Federation. Of course, we couldn’t have made it possible without the support from our sponsors and partners.
On the final day of the conference, participants unanimously endorsed the vision set out in the background paper Child care in Canada by 2020: A vision and a way forward (English and French).

Building from the success of the national ChildCare2020 conference and Rethink Child Care, the CCAAC along with our partners in the child care movement are working hard to bring together a strong campaign for child care during the 2015 federal election.
