If you live in Ontario, have your say!

In September, the Ontario government announced a commitment to expand child care for 0-4 year olds in Ontario by 100,000 spaces – doubling existing spaces over 5 years. As part of the process, the Ministry of Education is holding public town hall meetings in selected communities around Ontario. These public sessions are an excellent opportunity to build pressure on the government to put in place a quality early learning and child care system.

The Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care has prepared a Tip Sheet of speaking points for parents, RECE’s, child care workers and supporters as well as Points to Consider when answering discussion questions.

You can also participate by filling out the Ontario’s online consultation and view the government’s consultation materials and discussion paper.
